Edita de Lorenzo Rodríguez was elected director of EET, becoming the first woman to direct an Engineering School in Galicia and also the first person graduated from EET to direct our center, since the previous directors studied at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Edita led the center until March 4, 2005, after being elected to a second term on March 1, 2012.
Under her direction, the reform of studies promoted for the adaptation of the center’s degrees to the new framework of the European Higher Education Area was carried out and the certification of the quality assurance system was achieved, and under her direction, the center changed its name to School of Telecommunication Engineering.
