The first TelecoUvigo Open Day took place on March 2th 2023.

This year, the Teleco Open Day was hold jointly with the other Teleco schools of Spain and with the participation of Javier Ventura, Teleco engineer and head of the Navigation Science Office of the European Space Agency:
We opened to the public the facilities of the EET (study rooms, laboratories, library, cafeteria, etc.) and the teaching and researching work done in our centre.
Guided by our teaching and researching staff, the participants experimented the potential of the telecommunication technologies in our 5G laboratories, anechoic rooms, photonics laboratory for optical and quantic communications, and interacted with drones and discovered our extensive experience with satellites, among other surprises.
The EET students themselves accompanied the participants during the tour, so they got first-hand information from people that were in their position not so long ago.
Share with us any doubt! Contact us via teleco.captacion@uvigo.es. We will be more than pleased to solve it.
The II Teleco Open Day was held on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

After welcoming the attendees, a Zoom connection was made with the other participating Telecommunication Schools in Spain, with contributions from:
- Javier Jiménez Leube, Vice Rector of Communication and Institutional Relations at UPM.
- Marta Balenciaga Arrieta, Dean-President of COIT.
- Manuel Sierra Castañer, Director of ETSIT-UPM.
Following this, the Teleco Renta initiative was presented, and a video featuring all the schools and universities was shown.
Next, attendees toured the EET facilities, where they were introduced to:
- The semi-anechoic acoustic chamber
- The radio frequency measurement laboratory (electromagnetic anechoic chamber)
- The 5G laboratory
- The CES UVigo laboratory
- The UVigo SpaceLab laboratory
The III Teleco Open Day was held on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Secondary and Baccalaureate students visit the School accompanied by their families
The Director of the School (Rebeca Díaz) welcomed the attendees and delivered a presentation about the School and its degree programmes. It was a great pleasure to explain what we do at our School to such an interested audience.
OVisitors toured our facilities accompanied by the Deputy Director for Outreach (Pedro Rodríguez), together with members of the EET Student Delegation board (Laura Leirós and Hugo Mera), who shared first-hand insights into what it is like to study Telecommunication Engineering.
In addition, participants carried out hands-on activities in our laboratories: they visited the anechoic chamber for electromagnetic measurements, where they were welcomed by José Vázquez Cabo and Óscar Rubiños; they also explored the semi-anechoic acoustic chamber guided by Soledad Torres, and had the opportunity to see the 5G laboratory alongside Juan José López Escobar, Pablo de las Llanderas, and Javier Otero.
Finally, they learned about the work carried out by some of the student associations present at the School of Telecommunication Engineering, such as CES UVigo, where they were welcomed by students Pablo Saa López and Adrián Rodríguez Fernández, and UVigo SpaceLab, where the presentation was delivered by students Alejandro Camanzo and Manuel Diz.
