Science and Technology Workshops for Girls at the School of Telecommunication Engineering in Vigo

On March 22, the School of Telecommunication Engineering in Vigo will host a new edition of Oracle4Girls, an initiative by Oracle. In this edition, girls aged 4 to 16 can register and participate in unique workshops designed to inspire them to explore their future in science and technology. These workshops aim to foster interest in STEM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and highlight opportunities in the ICT sector, where women are still underrepresented.

ake a look at the workshops available for each age group (4-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-13 years, and 14-16 years) [here].

We especially want to reach out to parents, who play a crucial role in guiding and supporting their daughters towards these disciplines. In a world where technologies such as programming, robotics, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality are shaping the future, these workshops not only provide technical knowledge but also celebrate the role of women pioneers who have paved the way in these fields through dedication and effort. Parents can also enjoy the event with informative talks on the use of technology within the family.

This is a great opportunity to motivate and empower the next generation of young women to become the tech leaders of tomorrow. Don’t miss it!
