In December 2016, the company Deloitte and the University of Vigo established the collaboration chair promoted by the School.
The long collaboration between EET and Deloitte Advisory, especially in the field of Cybersecurity, was institutionalized in the creation of the Deloitte Advisory Chair, formalized by the Rector and further by Deloitte partner Rubén Frieiro, Telecommunication Engineer by our School.
The Chair had an important influence in encouraging training in cybersecurity at the EET, first through the participation of company personnel in the complementary courses organized by the center; then by providing direct training through workshops, both technical and business, aimed at students and teachers and finally betting decisively on the current Interuniversity Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity (MUniCS).
Currently, the Chair promotes the more social aspect of telecommunication activities, and supports the School in its process of adapting to the new reality of online or blended teaching.
