The MarMOOC project (Apprentissage Hybride Mutualisé et Ouvert dans lees Universités Marocaines, 573583- EPP-1-2016-1- ERES- EPPKA2- CBHE- SP) is funded by the European Union under the Capacity Building Higher Education ( CBHE) call, promoted by the EACEA (Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency).
Under the coordination of our colleague Rebeca P. Díaz Redondo, it was the first project of this call coordinated by the University of Vigo. It involved a total of 13 partners (six European universities, 6 Moroccan universities and the Ministry of Higher Education of Morocco). It has a budget of almost one million euros and the objective, in the three years of duration, to create the first platform of online courses (MOOCs, Massive Open Online Courses, and SPOCs, Small Private Online Courses) in Morocco.
MarMOOC will include an offer of at least a dozen massive courses, with certificates of completion and the use of the ECTS system, focused on six priority areas of knowledge for the North African country, such as economics and business administration, law, science, engineering, fisheries, agriculture and health.
