Organized by the University of Vigo’s Student Information Service (SIE), the UVigo’s 1st Open Day Week took place from January 12 to 16.

This initiative is aimed at secondary schools in Galicia with students in compulsory secondary education (Year 10 / 4th ESO), upper secondary education (Bachillerato), and advanced vocational training programs who wish to learn first-hand about the academic offerings and facilities of the University of Vigo, particularly those of the Vigo campus.

During this first week, the School of Telecommunications Engineering welcomed 118 students from 9 pre-university schools:

  • IES Illa de Tambo
  • IES Pedra Rubias
  • Los Sauces
  • IES de Coruxo
  • IES República Oriental do Uruguai
  • IES As Barxas
  • CPR Plurilingüe Jesuitinas Miralba
  • CPR Divino Salvador
  • IES da Cañiza

In addition, on the 16th, we also hosted 27 students from the Excellence Baccalaureate Stembach program at IES Valadares.
