Secondary and Baccalaureate students visit the School accompanied by their families.
Many thanks to all the students who, together with their families, came on April 10 to learn more about the School of Telecommunication Engineering during its Open Day.
The Director of the School (Rebeca Díaz) welcomed the attendees and delivered a presentation about the School and its degree programmes. It was a great pleasure to explain what we do at our School to such an interested audience.
Visitors toured our facilities accompanied by the Deputy Director for Outreach (Pedro Rodríguez), together with members of the EET Student Delegation board (Laura Leirós and Hugo Mera), who shared first-hand insights into what it is like to study Telecommunication Engineering.
In addition, participants carried out hands-on activities in our laboratories: they visited the anechoic chamber for electromagnetic measurements, where they were welcomed by José Vázquez Cabo and Óscar Rubiños; they also explored the semi-anechoic acoustic chamber guided by Soledad Torres, and had the opportunity to see the 5G laboratory alongside Juan José López Escobar, Pablo de las Llanderas, and Javier Otero.
Finally, they learned about the work carried out by some of the student associations present at the School of Telecommunication Engineering, such as CES UVigo, where they were welcomed by students Pablo Saa López and Adrián Rodríguez Fernández, and UVigo SpaceLab, where the presentation was delivered by students Alejandro Camanzo and Manuel Diz.
Esperámosvos o ano que vén, nunha nova edición da Xornada de Portas Abertas!
