These are the activities carried out under the TelecoConnection network in this year 2024:
- “Coffee & …” Talk Series
As part of the integraTE program, this series of scientific outreach talks on telecommunications technologies shows our students the content they will see in the Bachelor/Master or in which they will be able to work in the future. All this in a relaxed atmosphere with coffee at the end.
These talks are designed for all first-year students, but are open to those from other courses who want to come.

TheEET offers a series of scientific and technological outreach talks for pre-university educational centers (primary, secondary, high school, and vocational training), delivered by the organizations participating in ConexiónTeleco.
These talks aim to explain scientific and technological concepts in a simple manner, promoting interest in STEM skills.

- Elas Fan TIC
This day is celebrated on the 4th Thursday of April and was established in 2010 by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations agency specialised in telecommunication. Its objective is to encourage technological vocations in women and girls, as well as to reduce the gender digital gap.

This international day -11th February-, approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2015, aims to achieve full and equal access and participation of women and girls in the scientific field. It is a day of remembrance that serves as a reminder that women have a fundamental role in science and technology.

- II Teleco Olympiad
441 students from 20 secondary education centers across Galicia participated on April 25th, 26th, and 27th in the II Teleco Olympics.
The sponsoring companies of conexiónTeleco (cátedra Indra, cátedra R, Televés and BorgWarner) ssist us in purchasing the materials for the teams participating in the competition and also provide the prizes for the Galician phase.
– The Indra Chair sponsors the four prizes in the ESO teams category.
– BorgWarner sponsors the four prizes in the FP teams category.
– The R Chair sponsors the four prizes in the High School teams category.
– Televés sponsors the three prizes in the individual Bachillerato category.

- LPRO Days 2024.
The first day of exhibition and competition of the works carried out by 14 teams of 5-6 students from the 4th year of the Degree in Telecommunication Technologies Engineering consists of two very different parts: one morning exhibition, aimed at pre-university students, and another afternoon exhibition, aimed at companies and open to the public.
The second day is dedicated to the awards ceremony at the Verbum Museum. Thanks to the support of five conexiónTeleco companies (Marine Instruments, Optare Solutions, Quobis, Gradiant and atlanTTic) five awards were presented to the best proposals.

- Graduation of the XI class of the Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Technologies Engineering (GETT), the III class of the Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication Technologies Engineering (BTTE) the IX class of the Master’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering (MET) and classes I to IV of the Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity (MUniCS)
The students of all degrees enjoyed the event with their classmates. Moreover, thanks to Centum R&T, they could also have an afternoon snack with their families and, thanks to Indra, they were given the most special gift: a sweatshirt with an illustration designed by Davila specially for the EET.
