The University of Vigo Credit Transfer and Recognition Regulations for degrees adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) was approved at the Governing Council meeting of 25th June 2025.
Professional or Work Experience and Non-Official University Studies
The number of credits that may be recognized based on professional or work experience and non-official university studies (own degrees or continuing education) may not exceed, as a whole, 15 percent of the total credits of the study plan (90 ECTS).
The Master’s Academic Committee will assess and approve, where appropriate, credit recognition requests, following a report from the faculty responsible for the subjects and based on the documentation submitted by applicants. This documentation must include, at a minimum: a copy of the employment history or employment contract and a certificate from the company specifying the functions and tasks performed or currently being performed in the position.
