The typical applicant holds a degree related to the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), and is therefore expected to have skills in programming, algorithm design, and computer architecture.

Below is a list of degree programmes considered Preferred Degrees. Applicants with a technical degree not included in this list may still be admitted, subject to evaluation by the Academic Committee.

Preferred Degrees (including equivalent or alternative titles at the undergraduate, licentiate or technical engineering levels):

  • Computer Engineering
  • Telecommunication Technologies Engineering
  • Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering
  • Data Science and Engineering
  • Digital Creation, Animation and Video Games
  • Robotics
  • Physics
  • Artificial Intelligence

The programme also welcomes experienced industry professionals who wish to redirect their careers towards XR. A part-time study option is available to help balance work responsibilities with master’s-level education.
