The student delegations of the Higher Technical Schools of Telecommunication, Industrial and Mining Engineering of the University of Vigo, joined forces to work on a project that aims to facilitate the labor approach of companies to people who graduate in the future, in UVigo and have a technical profile.
They started from the need to approach the leading companies in the technology sector, which at that time were distant, not only from the University, but also from each other. The aim was to bring them together in a single framework, thus presenting a global vision of the career prospects for the sector.
This event is organized by and for the student body, thanks to the effort and initiative of a group of students with the support of the University, the Schools, the Official Colleges and other public and private institutions.
During the three days of the Forum, the main attraction is at the stands, where participating companies can have a direct relationship with the students, collecting resumes and thus expediting a possible recruitment process. Other channels of contact are the workshops, where the realization of various activities allows to see the aptitudes of the participants or to develop new competences. Also in conferences, where technical presentations are made on topics of interest chosen through surveys by the students.
