Royal Decree 861/2010 of 2nd July 2010, which amends Royal Decree 1393/2007 of 29th October 2007, establishing the organization of official university education, states that the curricula leading to official degrees will be verified by the Council of Universities, with the Agency for the Quality of the Galician University System (ACSUG) being in charge of evaluating the curricula of the degrees issued in Galicia.

These curricula are included in a report that the Ministry of Education makes available to the universities for the verification of the degrees and their possible modifications. This report is known as a verification report because it belongs to the ACSUG Verification programme.
