LPRO, Laboratory of Projects, is a compulsory course in the second semester of the 4th year in which students work on interdisciplinary projects. Each team ─made up of five to seven students and two professors─ works on the design and implementation (hardware and software) of a prototype that provides a solution to a previously proposed problem.

At least two of the four Mentions of the Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Technologies Engineering must be represented in the student team and the two faculty members must belong to different departments, in order to enrich and facilitate synergies between work areas.

The proposed problems are usually linked to an external company or institution with which the team works to define the best viable solution.

At the end of the four-month period, a conference is held to promote the work carried out, in which attendees can interact with the prototypes. In addition, representatives of the Galician business community participate in the evaluation of the prototypes to award prizes to the best proposals. The video below is a set of several short videos, a playlist, with some of the solutions created in this area.

You can watch each of the videos separately clicking one of the buttons in the video above or in this Youtube link.

If your company or institution is interested in collaborating with the EET by offering activities along the lines previously mentioned, please contact the person who coordinates this matter at teleco.tfg.tfm@uvigo.es
