Students applying for admission to this master’s degree program should preferably hold a bachelor’s, licentiate, or technical engineering degree in the following fields, which we will refer to as Preferred Degrees (including those degrees with equivalent or alternative denominations not listed here):
- Telecommunication Engineering
- Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Data Science and Engineering
- Artificial Intelligence
- Robotics
For students applying for admission with a different degree, their admission will be assessed based on their ability to demonstrate that their previous studies have led to the acquisition of knowledge corresponding to the generic profile of a graduate in a field related to ICT. This includes knowledge of programming, algorithm design, computer networks, basic communication protocols between devices, electronic circuits, as well as statistical knowledge.
To do this, the student must provide, along with their curriculum vitae, their Bachelor’s Degree, as well as details of the curriculum studied, including the course load of each subject, and a description of those subjects relevant to justifying the acquisition of the knowledge corresponding to the generic profile described above.
They should also include any relevant work experience related to IoT, if applicable. The evaluation of admission applications will be based on the following criteria:
- Academic record: Up to 70% of the score. For students from non-Preferred Degrees, their academic record will be divided by 2.
- Research experience: Up to 30% of the score.
- Work experience: Up to 30% of the score.
- Other merits related to the field of IoT: Up to 10% of the score.
The specific percentages associated with the assessment criteria for each academic year will be established and published prior to the start of the application period.
